Saga de Malaysia – Part 6

In last couple of days of my stay in Malaysia, I had some wonderful outings… first one was to Levain coffee shoppe…

Its somewhere in downtown of Kuala Lumpur but it resembled more of a country town of Europe.

This fella was waiting at the counter to serve all the guests.

Some of the best Cappuccinos I ever had… it was very smooth and perfectly made.

Sissie and PC decided to make a short trip to Genting Highland – a hill station an hour away from KL…

If you enlarge this picture, you will see an Interesting banner on the bus says: “ KL 33° centigrade, Genting 20° centigrade”. Indeed, it was cool there when we reached Genting. Since it was an impromptu visit, we hadn’t booked the room. We had to take a chance for getting a room and we tried Hotel First World…

The foyer of the hotel was very thematic…

And reception was very well organized. Though the hotel was fully booked, we could manage to get a room courtesy of a fellow visitor who offered us her extra room.

Genting is a combination of Las Vegas and Orlando. It has Casinos and theme parks.

Hotel First World had an indoor theme park which had lots of restaurants, branded shops, entertainment areas for kids and of course Starbucks!

While we were loitering in Genting, we came across this Bolywood sign and the duo posed for a picture… Look how PC is mimicking SRK!

For the dinner that night, we ended up at Old Town White Coffee house… Its considered as a competitor of Starbucks…

All I could eat there was bread and butter… Before ordering, we ensured that the bread it uses does not contain any eggs or non-veg product.

Next day, when we woke up, this was the view from the window of the room.

While we were walking down, the foyer windows revealed some natural beauty of Malaysia…The pose before we left Genting Highland for back home…

After we reached home, the duo decided to opt for some shopping. We spent the afternoon and early evening in One Utama Mall… I was brought to Marks & Spencer’s store and was “compelled” to choose the ones I liked. Their gesture made me so sentimental as they both don’t wear such branded cloths.

While I was in a trial room, Sissie posed for PC…  Good composition and wise use of the mirror! PC should try DSLR more often.

While I was still busy in trial room, they continued their photography togetherness… This is what Sissie captured in the mirror.

Next afternoon, I was flying back. Sissie and PC came to drop me at the airport. I got a couple of surprises before I boarded the flight…

A Starbucks Mug… Sissie picked up from a Starbucks store on the way.

And the Ang Pao… The duo ensured that I come to know about this surprise only after I had cleared the immigration that I could not refuse it.

After a short waiting before boarding, it was a “walk” to the aircraft…

Once boarded, I settled on my seat and had to change the SIM card in my iPhone. I needed a pin to pull out Digi SIM from the phone but I had none. So, I ended up asking Rose – one of the flight attendants for it and she gladly pulled her badge off and asked me to use its needle!!!

Thank you very much Rose! No wonder Air Asia has been a very popular airline in South East Asia. It is equally busy as well… When my flight was the second last to take off, I saw that four more flights were queued behind mine… Six flights back to back… Indeed it is a sign of a busy airline.

When I landed at newly built T3 terminal at New Delhi airport, I was excited to see the conveyor belt there. It has a luggage detection sensor as seen on the left of the picture above… If it detects a luggage, it will stop the bag coming from downstairs to prevent the its colliding with each other. I haven’t seen such system elsewhere.

Its five minutes past midnight and October 14th.. It was September 14th when I flew back… A month passed since this trip but I am happy I could preserve all the memories for so long!
